Install probs ver2

Hi All,
I posted before a question about an installation problem and the reply was
to get the verbose log file. I've done that so here is the section around
the error. I've added some spaces after the error to make it easier to find.

I solved the problem, File and Print Sharing needs to be installed for the
MSDE install to work. Obvious huh? ;-)

I've two server 2003 configurated as cluster. How to
install MSDE2000A on nodes ?

AFAIK MSDE does not support cluster installation...

|||You can install MSDE as an instance (default or named) on each node of the
cluster but MSDE is not cluster aware so if you're thinking of a
mini-failover cluster, that's not gonna happen with MSDE.

Installation

Hi,
I'm using the most current version of MSDE, I've ran all my updates on a
2000 Pro machine.
Someone else did the install and I'm receiving an error message that SQL is
not installed properly
or has been tampered with, pleas uninstall and reinstall, so I went to the
add/remove and uninstalled
MSDE and reinstalled but I'm still receiving the same error message. I go
to Services to start it and
it won't start.
So that's where I'm at, thanks, Craig

collect the following information to help my analyze this issue, thank you!
1. Take a screenshot of the error message, and send it to me, my email:

Create a screenshot

a) When the message appears in the window, press PrScrn (the key right of
F12).
b) Click start menu->all programs->accessories->paint.
c) Press Ctrl+V to paste the screen shot into the paint, and save the
picture in GIF file type.
2. Collect related MPSREPORT to me.
1). Please go to the following link, and download the MPSRPT SQL.exe.

2). Double click to open this file, click Yes to start to collect the
information.
3). When the tool is done you will see an Explorer Window open up. In the
Explorer window should be a .CAB and a .NFO file that you need to send to

install cluster sql 2005

I've setup a Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition cluster of 2 nodes, with sql2000
cluster and analysis services cluster.
I must install sql 2005 and analysis services 2005 without upgrade 2000
instances.
can you help me ?
What do you need help with? Knowledge base articles, etc. etc.....

|||You will have to establish two new cluster groups, which will contain
dedicated IP addresses, network names, disks, and the SQL Server instance
for one, Analysis Services for the other.
You install SQL Server just like you normally would, but need to give it a
new unique Server Name and Instance Name.
Analysis Services on the other hand is truly clustered, whereas AS2000 only
used the general services resource.
