Installation Crash

Hi,

I'm trying to install SQL Server 2000 Dev Edn. When I install client and server tools it will crash after I enter the administration password. But this only happens when I install it with server tools, its OK with just client tools.

SQL Server 2000 installations takes time so copy the content to your harddrive, then run setup and the most important don't answer Windows questions only answer those relevant to you. Hope this helps.|||

I'm currently running the installation files from my hard drive and installing it on Windows XP Pro sp2.

sql 2000 requires service pack 4

Don't I need to install SQL 2000 before I can install the service packs? or should I install SP's first?

|||When I try to install SP4, it won't install because it requires SQL Server 2000. Which SP's were you talking about?|||
