Install Error 1603

I am getting the install error 1603 with ignore greyed out.
I am trying to install reporting services enterprise edition onto server
running
WIN 2003 with SQL server 2000.
I am installing it without VS.NET installed and
The .Net Framework has been installed
I have looked at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=867872 but I still get
the same error.
I even reinstalled the IIS 6.0. ASP.NET 1.1.4322 is registered with IIS.
I have changed the SQL Server instance used to host the report server
database to Local.
I have been busy installing it at a client for 2 days now.
I have a local version that installed without giving any problems.
Can someone please tell me how to get it installed?Hi,
I had this problem already with one of our customers. Their IT department
did a really closed installation of a Windows 2003 Standard web server.
Now the solution which worked for me:
1. Take a look on the services: COM+ Event System -> enable and run it!
2. Open Administrative Tools->Component Services
- Navigate to Component Services->Computers->My Computer and right click on it
- On tab COM security add IWAM_MACHINE and IUSR_MACHINE to [Access
Permissions] and [Default Launch Permission] by clicking on Edit Defaults...
Now hopefully it should work!
