Hi,
I'm having problem installing the Database Server on Windows XP (home).
It shows "Internal Error. Contact Microsoft Technical Support" when I clicked on the "Install Database Server". I'm using SQLServer 2000 Developer Edition. I have already enabled Named Pipes and TCP/IP.
But I can get through the setup screen of "Analysis Services" and "English Query" without any problem. I haven't install Analysis Services or English Query. Do I have to install other software (like the "Analysis Services" or "English Query") before installing the "Database Server"?
Please help..
Thank you. What is the service pack on XP?
Check SQLSTP.LOG and event viewer log for complete information during this process.|||SP 1 & 2 for WinXP and SP 1 for SQLServer 2000.
I couldn't locate the SQLSTP.LOG in C:\windows\ or C:\Program Files. Where can I find the SQLSTP.LOG and event viewer log?
I have also installed Tomcat, Perl, PHP, ASP and MySQL on Apache HTTP Server in it.
Thank you.|||It seems you've installed everything on the server including the SQL server.
From start button goto search and input SQLSTP.LOG to search on the server.
Event viewer logs can be viewed using start --> Run and type eventviewer or from Start --> programs --> Administartive Tools --> Computer management and there you will find the event logs.
